The following components need to be preinstalled to provide Media Center Edition 2005 with Rollup 2:

1. Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005—available from Authorized Microsoft OEM Distributors
2. .NET Framework 3.0 OPK
3. MCE 2005 Rollup 2 Executable

• The .Net Framework 1.1 and .Net framework 1.1 SP1 must be installed before installing Rollup 2
• The .NET Framework 1.1, .NET Framework 1.1 SP1 and the Update Rollup 2 executable can all be preinstalled using a batch file and the Setup Manager’s Preinstalled Applications page
