Windows Vista SP1 Updates for Windows Media Center
Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1) will provide native support for connecting Windows Media Center-enabled PCs running Windows Vista Home Premium or Ultimate editions to new types of Windows Media Center Extenders. These new devices are available in form factors such as digital televisions and network-enabled DVD players.

Windows Media Center-related fixes in Windows Vista SP1 include:

  • Resume from standby or hibernation when attempting to watch Live TV rather than showing a "Restricted Content - Display Driver" error
  • Better audio synchronization when playing a Windows Media High Definition Video DVD in Windows Media Center
  • Detects and configures combo ATSC/NTSC TV tuners to receive both over-the-air digital TV (DTV) and analog cable TV signals
